Located in the beautiful Bitterroot mountains of Montana, our little farm is breeding registered Nigerian Dwarf goats and Kunekune pigs with the goal of producing great homestead livestock for our community.
About Golden Shepherd Farm
We started this farm for the same reason many do; knowing where the food we feed our family comes from and how it lived its life. We feel too many are disconnected from the food system that feeds the world and we are determined to provide our family with the quality, healthy food needed to flourish. Now, we’re happy to provide our community with the same farm-to-table food we’ve been eating and thriving on!
Our farm has fresh goat’s milk from our Nigerian Dwarves and sell ADGA registered, homestead standard Nigerian Dwarves for people to produce their own. We breed KuneKune pigs, the perfect homesteader pig, for our community to start their own herds or raise and eat their own delicious, pasture-fed pork. We are happy to provide farm fresh eggs from happy, free ranging hens as well as feathered-out pullets for those looking to get their own flock started or added to. Every aspect of our food system is available for those wanting to make the leap into homesteading! And we are here to make that leap as easy as possible. We love mentoring on every aspect of farming we’re knowledgeable in and love to learn what wisdom our customers have to share as well!
